Brown Girl Economics (BGE) was established as a platform to bring people of color together to combine our financial and economic power in August of 2020.
Our goal is to merge our financial spending strength by shopping together as a single force to empower black businesses. We ask our members to commit to joining us each time we step out to financially empower a black business. We show our support by shopping collectively as a group or shopping online collectively at a specific time. This not only demonstrates our collective financial power, but it keeps black dollars in our community and increases the spending power of the black community.
Since it's inception, BGE has created a heightened awareness of the importance of Black America being financially responsible for the success of black businesses and to continue to build economic strength like we've never experienced in this Country .
