Brown Girl Economics chose Morgan's restaurant as our patron for the month of December to dine, brunch and financially empower this black business. You might pass right by this little restaurant that looks like a hole in the wall if you were just riding through Wynwood, but Morgan's is anything but...Let me tell you, please pack your patience when you get there because there may be a long wait. We had a party of 15 so we arrived at 11:45am and was seated around 12:30pm. Our waitress took our orders and our food was out expeditiously. The food was worth the wait. Morgan's offer an array of foods that any culture could select from. Seems the chicken and waffles were a hit. The golden brown chicken tenders on top of a waffle drizzled in confectionery sugar were comforting. The Cobb salad was large enough for two to share and the voluptuous grilled cheese was mouthwatering. Also, the Truffle French fries were hot and fresh out the grease. They also offer endless mimosas. I had a glass of white apple sangria which was amazing.
Today was a great day for brunch and dining outside. However, the service quite ok. The waitress, was fast and efficient, but she could have been a little friendlier. This place is great for groups or a casual date night. The prices are reasonable. I definitely will return. And oh, dogs are welcome to join you as well.
